Kanamota

The iconic towering dormant volcano located at the northern most boundary of Napa Valley is today called Mount St. Helena. In ancient times, it was referred to by the Wappo as Kanamota, meaning “Human Mountain.” Kanamota was a special landmark that could be seen from almost anywhere in the valley; ever-present in a protective stance.

Our goal with creating a modern Napa Valley wine named Kanamota, has been to blend the best Bordeaux red grape varietals growing in various locations throughout the valley where the grand “Human Mountain” is always within line of site to our ripening grapes. Stylistically, were are pursuing purity of fruit on the palate, and true elegance with very smooth tannin structure. At this time, Kanamota therefore comprises beautiful younger vine plantings located on the valley floor from Calistoga all the way to Napa yielding finished wines that are both lovely and balanced when blended together.

Mallett Vineyards

A mallet has been a useful tool in every aspect of life since the being of humankind. The early “cellar rats” of wineries would use a wooden mallet to bang the wine barrel toppers into place. This was an essential part of the winemaking process.

Mallett Vineyards was created to showcase the combination of the Mallett family name with the Trevor Mallett’s passion for wine history! Mallett Vineyards’ goal is to produce the highest quality Napa Valley wine for people to enjoy while sharing stories of history with great company and food.

Mallett Vineyards strives to carry forward into yet unknown parts of our lifetimes by producing wines that are stories of history that are infused with the magic of the vineyards they are born from to create messages from inside a bottle; the vinous treasures that each wine showcases a flavor and honest story of the vintage they grew from!

Petrified Forest Vineyards

Petrified-Forest-Vineyards Logo.jpeg

Petrified Forest Vineyards may have had its first harvest in 2009, but it’s roots stretch back to 1986. Arriving in the Napa Valley that year to assume a position in the medical field, Ken Piters was to begin his long love affair with the land, the vineyards, and the special feeling that is Knights Valley. Ken and Susan Piters moved to their seventy-four acre Knights Valley ranch in 1987. The property had been part of the Booth Ranch, a summer retreat for a San Francisco family. Its old farmhouse and barn, both built in the late 1870’s, still remain. The ranch included a three acre Sauvignon blanc vineyard and Ken was soon out in the fields on his tractor. He and Susan took viticulture classes in order to better understand this new challenge that they had assumed.

The mission—to create exceptional ultra-premium wines from the Knights Valley appellation by being uncompromising at all stages, from the vine to the bottle. The production would be limited so that the finest enological principles can be intensified.

Sarah Francis Wines

Born in Texas, the daughter of an iron worker who moved his young family to five different states as he built famous buildings around the country, Sarah Francis found her own stability among the roots of grape vines in her great grandmothers’s garden. Now, that unique connection with the vines guides her to growing outstanding grapes and producing world-class wines. After pursing a career in healthcare, Francis realized that she belonged in a vineyard more than anywhere else. She decided early on to respect the vines and grapes, that once nurtured her by using old world technique- hand de-stemming, hand spinning, and closed barrel fermentation - techniques that double the amount of time, patience and expense but yield only the very best wines!

We will be showcasing their 2016 The Secret Vineyard Saint Helena Cabernet Sauvignon, their 2017 Sage Ridge Saint Helena Cabernet Sauvignon and their 2019 North Coast Blanc De Blanc.
